Itinerary for Spain & Portugal

Day 1

Arrive in Madrid, collect our bags, and meet your guide outside the airport.

Transfer to the Hotel.

Check-In to the hotel and have some rest, since we would arrive from a long flight.

Dinner at a Spanish restaurant.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will start our day with half-day sightseeing in Madrid.

We will start our sightseeing by visiting ROYAL PALACE – The Royal Palace of Madrid is the largest in Western Europe. Its more than 3,000 rooms have been the scene of our history for centuries. It was the main residence of the Spanish royal family from 1764 to 1931. It is a living museum that is still used today for Court ceremonies and official entertaining, it is one of the few official residences of a Head of State open to the public.

We will now visit the PRADO MUSEUM – The Prado Museum is probably the best classical painting gallery in the world. It stands out because almost all paintings on display are masterpieces. Opened in 1819, many of its works come from the Royal Collections.

We will now enjoy our visit to the old town on a walking tour.

We will now drive to Granada.

Upon arrival, Check-In into your hotel & have some rest.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will start our day by visiting the top sights of Granada.

Our first stop will be Capilla Real – The Royal Chapel is an exquisite building completed before the Cathedral of Granada in the first half of the 16th century. Now it and the Cathedral of Granada form a more popular cultural scenic spot in the city center. According to Queen Isabel’s last words, the chapel houses the coffins of two Catholic popes. The most worth seeing place is the golden iron fence bedroom (Mausoleo) in the center of the chapel. The two pairs of marble pedestal-shaped tombstones standing side by side are clearly visible.

Walk around the famous Cathedral around the area.

Move towards the Bazaar Alcaicera – The Alcaicería market is the Grand Bazaar of Granada and the original Moorish silk market. It is the home of the Great Bazaar of Granada, and was originally a series of streets between Plaza Nueva and Plaza Bib-Rambla, bursting with stalls selling Arabic silks, spices, and other precious goods.

After Lunch, we will visit the Alhambra – It was inscribed on the World Heritage list in 1984 due to its universal beauty and exceptional expression of Moorish and Andalusian culture as well as for its ability to convey the history of the changes to the region over time through its architecture and decorative campaigns.

The Summer Palace – It became the summer residence of the Kings of Spain from the 1720s during the reign of Philip V. The palace is in a restrained Baroque style, surrounded by extensive gardens in the formal Jardin à la française style with sculptural fountains.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive to Cordoba.

We stroll through the alleyways of the former Jewish quarter – The Judería de Córdoba, also known as the Jewish Quarter of Córdoba, is the area of the Spanish city of Córdoba in which the Jews lived between the 10th and 15th centuries. It is located in the Historic center of Córdoba, northeast of the Mezquita Catedral (the Mosque- Cathedral).

We will now visit the famous Mezquita – The former mosque is a memorial for the “Golden Age” when Muslims, Christians, and Jews lived peacefully together in the Moorish Empire. The Great Mosque of Cordoba represents a unique artistic achievement due to its size and the sheer boldness of the height of its ceilings.

Walk around the town which is filled with beautiful blooms with pretty colours.

After lunch, we will drive to Seville.

Upon arrival, Check-In into the hotel.

Enjoy Seville’s nightlife street lined with bars and restaurants. (The Tapas bars the most important part of Seville)

Day 5

Start your day early.

Breakfast at the hotel by 730 and leave for the Seville sightseeing.

After breakfast, we will start our day by strolling through the alleys of the old city – Situated in the largest old town in Europe, in the center of Seville, Santa Cruz is one of the famous districts inside the old town.

We will now visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria – Also known as the Duomo Cathedral, this majestic structure set the scene for the Italian Renaissance and went on to inspire a legion of architects and artists on the continent. Moreover, the cathedral was built in dedication to the Virgin of Flowers and remains an important landmark.

Visit the Bell Tower La Giralda – The bell tower is in Renaissance style and was designed by Hernán Ruíz in the 16th century. At the peak of the bell tower, 104 meters high, a special weathervane can be seen: el Giraldillo, another symbol of Seville.

Alcazar – It was originally the residence of the Spanish Kings. This beautiful structure is full of history (and is even still used as a royal residence at times) right across from the cathedral.

After lunch, drive to Algrave.

Upon arrival, Check-In into the hotel and have some rest.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel.

Enjoy a walk on the coast – Known for its picturesque coastline, Portugal is home to an array of charming coastal towns where you can stroll the shoreline, dine on succulent seafood and explore historic landmarks. Here you can also go for the adventurous option (On your own).

Spend time in the most presitine beaches of Algrave. Here, We will enjoy a picnic lunch during a hike at Algarve. To explore them on foot! This stunning coastal walk will take you through some of the most beautiful terrains that the Algarve has to offer.

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Lisbon.

And upon arrival begin your day with sightseeing.

We will start our day by visiting Belem Tower – Belem Tower is one of the most beautiful symbols of the city of Lisbon. This majestic construction stands by the water creating an unbelievably picturesque view of the historic part of the town called Belem. It was declared to be a World Heritage Site, added to UNESCO’s list, and is under its protection.

We will now visit Jeronimo Monastery – The Jeronimos Monastery is the most impressive symbol of Portugal’s power and wealth during the Age of Discovery. A masterpiece of 16th-century architecture in Portugal, the Monastery of Jerónimos is listed as a National Monument and inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List (1983).

Post lunch, we will be free to explore on our own and do some shopping.

Later drive to the hotel and check in.

Day 8

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will depart for Sintra for a day tour.

Extravagant palaces, pastel-hued houses, and sweeping views — it is no wonder the cultural landscape of Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will start our day by visiting Pena Park and Palace – The Pena Palace is a Romanticist castle in São Pedro de Penaferrim, in the municipality of Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera. The castle stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains above the town of Sintra.

Before we make our way to beautiful Pena Park and Palace, we’ll then head to Quinta da Regaleira (from outside) a beautiful estate dating back to the end of the Portuguese monarchy.

Later, stroll through the streets of Sintra and enjoy a Portuguese lunch (on your own).

After Lunch, we will roam around Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, to enjoy sweeping views over the ocean.

Finish your Sintra Day Tour and head back to Lisbon.

Ladies! Get ready in Green for the Farewell Dinner.

Day 8

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we will explore the old part of Lisbon the Bairro Alto, and go to Belem, where the Exploring of the world starts in the 14th century. Not to forget the most famous thing in Belem, Pastis de Nata is a small Pastry that has its origin here. (On your own).

Depart for the home-bound flights.
