ARRIVE AT DELHI – SHIMLA OVERNIGHT JOURNEY (8 HRS -343 KM APPROX.).
Assemble at Volvo boarding point at 9 PM.
Drive to Shimla. Overnight journey.
ARRIVE AT SHIMLA – DRIVE TO SANGLA (4 HRS – 220 KMS APPROX.)
Arrive at Shimla..
Meet your Meraki representative at the arrival point.
Drive to Sangla on a famed Gypsy via Hindustan Tibet Road, crossing Kufri, Narkanda, Rampur & Tranda Cliff.
Arrive in Sangla, and Check in to your hotel
Have some rest & enjoy the view around.
Let’s take a short break and refuel for lunch at Ginger Museum Restaurant at Fort Cochin. (on your own).

SANGLA – KALPA (1 HR – 51 KMS APPROX.)

After breakfast, we will visit CHITKUL VILLAGE – Chitkul is located in Kinnaur Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Kinnaur is known as the land between earth and paradise. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border. The Indian Road ends here.
We will now visit RACKCHAM VILLAGES – Rakcham is a small village of nomads located around 13 km from the apple town of Sangla in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is an unknown travel destination on the way to Chitkul via Sangla, Rakcham is found at a height of around 2900m. A sparse population of around 800 people inhabits the village. While moving towards Chitkul from Sangla, the village is found on the left side of the main road and the river Baspa flows on the right.
Later we drive to KALPA – Kalpa a small village in the Sutlej River valley, above Reckong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalayas. Explore the quaintness of Kalpa! The panoramic and ever- evolving views of Kinner Kailash (aka Kinnaur Kailash) are simply breathtaking. It is the most beautiful village of the Kinnaur region located in the backdrop of the holy Kinner Kailash mountain, one of the abodes of Lord Shiva. Check-in at your hotel.
Lunch at the local restaurant. (Own your own).
After Lunch, we will visit ROGHI CLIFF- Roghi village, blessed with so many natural wonders, is located 8 km away from Kalpa. This village is popular for its apple orchards & ethnic village life. We will walk around the village and visit the Kalpa monastery & temple around.
Drive back to the hotel.
Dinner & overnight at a hotel in Sangla.
KALPA | NAKO | GYU | TABO (3 HRS – 180 KM. APPROX.)

After breakfast, we will start our expeditions deep into the Trans Himalayan region. Drive following river Satluj till KHAB, a confluence of the Spiti river – We will explore the beautiful Khab. It is a small village in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located in the Sutlej River valley near the India-Tibet border.
We will now visit the visit GYU MONASTERY – Giu Mummy is a famous Tibetan, naturally preserved monk that is a sight to behold. Believed to be a messiah of the villager this place is a must-visit. High in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul & Spiti district lies a surprising secret. A 500-year-old mummy with its teeth intact.
Later we will visit, TABO MONASTERY – Often referred to as Ajanta of the Himalayas, Tabo Monastery is situated at the height of 10,007 feet in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. It is noted for being the oldest continuously operating Buddhist enclave in both India and the Himalayas. A large number of frescoes displayed on its walls depict tales from the Buddhist pantheon.
We will now retire for the day and enjoy a hot dinner at the hotel.

TABO | DHANKAR | KAZA (1.5 HRS – 65 KM APPROX.)

After breakfast, we will drive to DHANKAR MONASTERY – This beautiful monastery is locked between the rocky spurs at the top of the cliff in the Dhankar village at an elevation of over 3,800 meters in the Spiti valley. It is a 16th-century old fort monastery, which has also served as a prison in the erstwhile era. This place is beautified with depictions of Shakyamuni, Tsongkhapa, and Lama Chodrang on the central wall. Around 150 lamas are residing in Dhankar Gompa; Dhankar means a place in the mountains that can be easily reached by visitors.
Arrive at Kaza and Check-In into the hotel.
The rest of the day is free to explore Kaza town or walk to Kaza Monastery.

SPITI

Today we will enjoy a breathtaking and spellbinding tour of Spiti valley. We will start our day, by driving to KEY MONASTERY – It was built in the 11th century and is the largest monastery of Spiti. It is also known for its beautiful murals, thankas, rare manuscripts, stucco images, and peculiar wind instruments that form part of the orchestra whenever Chham is enacted in the gompa.
We will now drive to the VILLAGE OF KIBBER – Kibber aka Kyibar village rests high in the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 14200 ft. Kibber is located near Chicham bridge, the highest man-made bridge in Asia.
We will proceed toward LANGZA VILLAGE – Langza Village is a beautiful destination, located in one of the most majestic valleys in India’s Spiti Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Langza village is famous for the huge quantities of fossils found here. Because of this, the village is also known as the “Fossil Village”. The most beautiful village of Spiti with excellent views of Chao Chao Kang Nilda peak and view the giant Buddha statue overlooking the village.
Drive to HIKIM VILLAGE to post a letter to our loved ones from World’s highest post office.
We will now visit COMIC VILLAGE – World’s highest motorable village. It is a nature lover’s delight. Nestled in the far- flung mountains of Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh.
Drive back to the hotel.

KAZA | KALPA (4 HRS – 220 KMS APPROX.)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive down Spiti valley entering Kinnaur and back at Kalpa.
Check-in to the hotel for the overnight stay in Kalpa.
Enjoy dinner and hit the bed early for a long journey the next morning.

After breakfast, we will drive to Hindustan Tibet Road, driving down the Satluj valley to Shimla. Arrive in Shimla and connect overnight Volvo back to Delhi.
