Itinerary for Rajastan

Day 1 - Arrive in Jaipur

Arrive in Jaipur and check in to your hotel.

By noon, freshen up and go out for the most delicious local lunch (On your own).

Post lunch we begin our journey by visiting city Place.

We will meet the Princess Dia Kumari foundation for women’s empowerment and spend a little time to understand the kind of work these women are doing and the products they are making.

After that, head out for a heritage walk of Jaipur – Covering the walled city in small by-lanes.

The best way to explore Jaipur is to meet the locals, talk to them, have tea with them, and eat like them.

We will also cover the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar and talk about the architecture of the walled city.

Shopping at Jaipur.

Return to the hotel and indulge in dinner.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - JAIPUR – PUSHKAR (146 KMS APPROX. 3 HRS)

Will head towards Nahargarh Fort by Jeep for the sunrise and indulge in the picnic breakfast. We will walk around the beautiful Nahargarh fort and settle for some delicious food.

Upon coming down, we will visit the Amber fort.

Also, visit the Kali temple which is within the Amer Fort premises – Amer Fort is known for its artistic style elements. With its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amer Palace.

Return to the hotel in time, freshen up and will start our journey for Pushkar.

We will stop at Ajmer sharif to pay respect and listen to some nice Sufi music at the shrine – Ajmer, with its connection to Sufi saint Khwaja Muin-ud-Din Chisti, is world renowned for its dargah. The Sufi saint came to Ajmer from Persia in 1192 and died here in 1236. His tomb is one of the most important religious sites in Sufism.

Arrive at Pushkar and check in to your hotels. Relax for some time.

Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 3 - PUSHKAR – ROHETGARH (222 KMS, 4 HRS APPROX.)

Early morning today we will have a yoga session on the ghats of Pushkar lake. While returning, we will visit the only Brahma temple in the world and enjoy the early morning rituals of the locals – The Brahma Temple located near the Pushkar Lake in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan. Beautiful Hindu temple dedicated to the god Brahma, with colorful shrines & lake views.

Return to the hotel, freshen up, have your breakfast, and will depart for Rohetgarh.

Arrive in Rohetgarh – Upon arrival relax and have a cup of tea with the royalty and listen to their stories.

Will end the evening by having dinner with local delicacies.

Day 4 - ROHETGARH - JODHPUR (36 KMS 40 MINS APPROX.) JODHPUR – UDAIPUR (250 KMS 5 HRS APPROX.)

Early Morning walk around the village, see the morning rituals and have tea with them.

Return to the hotel for breakfast and later leave for Udaipur en route to visit Jodhpur.

We will visit the Mehrangarh fort – Nestled atop a hill, at a height of 410 feet above the city of Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort stands as a majestic citadel of colossal proportions. Also known as Mehran Fort, it boasts of a history of more than 550 years and is surrounded by imposing walls. It is one of the largest forts in the country and is among the most formidable ones in Rajasthan.

We will ride the Tuk Tuks and roam the blue old town of Jodhpur and savor some amazing street food. While doing this, we will meet the spice girls of India.

In Jodhpur lives the Spice Girls of India, a mother, and her seven daughters, who are running a spice business, fighting the patriarchy and gender stereotypes. Will chat with them and savor their trademark masala-scented chai at their MV Spices store.

Later drive to Udaipur.

Upon reaching Udaipur check in to your hotel.

Evening we will enjoy a boat ride on lake Pichola – A trip to Lake Pichola is incomplete without a boat ride in the serene lake, especially during sunset. Enjoy picturesque views from the placid waters of Lake Pichola. Float along the shimmering lake as the sun comes to rest on the horizon and pass by the striking skyline and impressive mansions that are typical of Udaipur.

Day 5 - UDAIPUR

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast begins your sightseeing tour of Udaipur by visiting City Place as no sightseeing is done without visiting the city palace.

City Palace – The Udaipur City Palace is a top tourist attraction and architectural marvel in Udaipur. Located on the banks of Lake Pichola, the opulent building is a seamless blend of Medieval, European, and Chinese architecture. Of all the palaces in Rajasthan, Udaipur is the largest, and arguably the most impressive.

We will then visit the Jagdish Temple – Shri Jagdish Temple is the most beautiful example of Hindu Iconography, consisting of three stories of hand-carved stone, with a steeple nearly 79 feet high, and is the largest temple of Udaipur.

We will stop for lunch (On your own).

Later, visit the Monsoon Palace – Named after Maharana Sajjan Singh, the Monsoon Palace is also known as Sajjan Garh Palace. Posted at the top of a hill, the Monsoon Palace was originally built to overlook Maharana Sajjan Singh’s hometown, Chittorgarh. The Monsoon Palace offers a panoramic view of Udaipur, which rose to prominence under the rule of Maharana Sajjan Singh.

In the evening, take a walk around the old town of Udaipur lanes and witness the rituals happening in small temples and the locals chit-chatting. Have a cup of tea with locals.

We will end our evening today by talking about the learnings taken back with a farewell dinner under the stars.

Day 6 - DEPART FOR HOMES

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for homes.
